The Ivory of Tagua Collection is "elephant approved"--because it isn't real ivory. The nut of the Tagua palm provides the beautiful look and feel of natural ivory. These knobs will even age like ivory, developing a slightly yellowish cast with time and handling. Each knob is hand carved by local craftsmen in the rainforest communities where the Tagua palm grows. Please anticipate some slight variation in pieces due to the natural variation inherent in the material and the hand-crafting of each piece.
